Game one of the Championship tournament at Imperial Lanes on March 18th 2009 was a fairly low key game. With the number one seeded Up Your Alley rolling a strong game against Strikes R Us who certainly held their own. The number 2 seed GetInTheCarIfYouWantToLive!!! proved to be a strong contender and the game came down to recounting the score against Pin em' Down just to be sure who would advance to the Final lanes.
If the first game was low key, then it was really just the calm before the storm! The Championship game came down to a match up between the strike happy Up Your alley and the silent but deadly GetInTheCarIfYouWantToLive!!! Things were moving along, throwing balls match for match, with scores coming in very close. One player on Up Your Alley, Brent Wigen, had GITCIYWTL sweating in their Bud Light when he bowled strikes like it was going out of style! In fact the fans almost called all bets off at that point. It wasn't until late in the game that a turn around started to happen. David O. the ringer on GITCIFWTL!!! closed out his night with....7 strikes in a row for a capped score of 205, which would have been 224! This pushed the Final team clearly into the lane of GITCIYWTL!!! Congratulations to the team!!! Well bowled my friends well bowled!
