Winter Co-ed Dodgeball at Wallingford Boys and Girls Club Thursdays

The Dodgefathers start the season off 2 and 0 and it was Rachel P. who helped make that happen. Rachel lead her team in outs with making lots of tough catches. Rachel's excellence catching ability earns her this weeks POTW! Great job Rachel.

This weeks POTW goes to Lisa M. for her learning curve in a tough game. Lisa and her squad are new to the dodgeball arena, and are starting to get the hang of it, and catching up to our veteran teams. The Protons and Lisa are a aggressive team who don't hold back, and make themselves vulnerable by hanging on the front lines as opposed to hanging back in safer areas. Lisa's play was an example of the Proton's continual improvement, as Lisa made plenty of outs on the night, and her honors were sealed on one special moment. Lisa was dodging and throwing in a tight game, and with a excellent catch swayed the numbers in her favor, right after that catch another ball came her way and she caught that one as well. With the outstanding back to back catch, swinging the numbers in the Protons direction Lisa did this all with out cracking a smile, and stayed focus. Protons continual improvement will make them a team to watch out for in the future, stay positive protons!

Keneth W. wins this weeks honors with one epic game. Kenneth was going solo against one very solid Dball player from his opponent, and the game went long. Both players were exhausted at the end of the very long game, and Kenneth game his team the win with a terrific game ending catch giving his team a 4 to 3 victory. Kenneth was gasping for air as his team rushed the floor to celebrate with him. Great game Kenneth!
