Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Thursdays

John H. earns this weeks POTW for his stellar defense he displayed. John was solid on "D" all night making all the routine catches and making it tough for the opponent to score. It was his late game catch that earned him this weeks honors with a awesome over the shoulder catch stifling yet another potential rally by the opponent. This type of defense held the opposing squad to just 3 runs. Great job John!

On a beautiful night for kickball, The Blues Brothers ( and Sisters) held on for a close victory due in large part to Mary Ann Valentine. Building up a 10-0 lead seemed like it would be enough to cruise to victory, but somehow the Platypi made a late charge. Mary Ann took matters into her own hands and decided her team needed more runs. With runners on base Mary Ann kicked a hot shot that drove in what would become the game winning run! A fantastic way to top off a great hitting night!

Talk about a big boot! Dru kicked not one but 2 huge home runs, well over the outfielders heads. The first homer was a tape measure shot that was one of the longest in Lower Woodlands history. Dru's second homer may not of been as far as the first one, but it was just as impressive. Awesome kicking Dru, great way to end the regular season!
