In what was one of the closest matched and best played games of the day it was number 3 Russell's Wilson squaring off against league power house Chico's Bail Bonds. Both teams came out swinging in the first inning ripping off five and six runs respectively and setting the tone for what would be the "nail biter " of the day. Both teams traded big punches inning after inning with solid hitting, lock down defense and aggressive base running. After the sixth inning and after a Josh Harris laser to right to score three runs the game was knotted at sixteen with Russell's Wilson batting in the top half of the inning. Chico's managed to hold usually clutch Russell's Wilson to no runs behind some superb pitching by Trey and some very fine late inning lock down defense. Then it happened. With the first two batters reaching base Igor Montalvo steps into the box. I remarked to him that this was his time to shine and he confidently looks and says back to me what I think was, "no problem". On the very first pitch and with one violent swing........gooooood bye softball"!!! Game over, good night and drive safe.
