Ninja Turtles found their way into the playoffs with a late game rally in the semis to beat the Toejammers, while Sucka Punch fended off a wily Kicktastrophe squad in their semifinal.
The championship was worth the wait, after taking an early command of the game and the lead, Sucka Punch seemed to finally have a league title. The Ninja Turtles had other plans. After slicing away at the lead, run by run, they found themselves down by one in the top of seventh, and rallied to go ahead for their first lead of the game, followed by some very stingy defense.
