Kick Me, Kicktastrophe! - Indy #1, Picked Last in Gym Class, Plan B
POTW: Dan Krekel
toejammers
Dan was quoted by his team as being, "an instrumental part in their loss this week.". His big toe was nowhere to be found and the result was a 1 to 2 loss to the Sucka Punch! Nice work Dan
Zach Little: a threat to all bunters, watch out ladies. The arm of this pitcher is deadly accurate, and he isn't afraid to let his wrath fall upon thee. He'll take you down with no mercy and grin at his victory, but you can't help but love him.

POTW: erin vassar
toejammers
Erin Vassar is no stranger to Player of the Game honors, but this week her performance was so outstanding that the was able to garner an award for Player of the Week. Erin produced the Play of the Week in the 4th inning when the toejammers were in a jam with runners on second and third and one out. A line drive was hit to short and Erin snatched it out of the air and in one motion ran to second base to force an unassisted double play. That, along with going 3-3 on offense is why Erin is our Player of the Week.
This week in the University Playfield Co-Ed Summer Midcore Kickball League a first time player came up with some big plays for Kicktastrophe. Tomoko Dean had two base hits and two RBI's on offense, and demonstrated her cat-like reflexes on defense with an amazing catch down the third base line. Kicktastrophe came out with the victory over Kick Me 13-6 with a spotlight on Tomoko's strong rookie performance. Way to go Tomoko!

Sucka Punch
The POW is actually a combination of three players' names, whose combined efforts led to a spectacular game-winning play. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the opposing team Plan B launched a rally. A hard kick to right field seemed to guarantee Plan B at least one run- but the right fielder fielded the bouncing ball with her feet, kicked it to an infielder, who relayed to another to tag the gazelle-like runner, leaping in mid-air to avoid the ball, on the feet for an amazing out. This play killed the rally and guaranteed Suck-a-Punch's win.
In a great show of flexibility and hard-core dedication to the game of kickball, Shannon pulled a full splits to keep herself from getting tagged out at second base. Both teams were impressed.
