Late Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Monday/Wednesday

On Monday night Ron went on a tear at the plate batting 3 for 3 with a monster bases clearing Grand Slam. he also had 7 RBIs and scored a run. Random Collision has been a great team year in and year out and it showed on Monday night the way they went about their business. There is no flashiness and instead hard nosed defense and lights out hitting and that's why they continue to roll through the league. They always give a total team effort and they are relentless when it comes to manufacturing runs. Great game Random Collision.

Baby Got Bats wants the rest of the league to be on notice that they are officially awake and ready to rumble. After a slow start to the season this team has caught fire and that fire is spreading fast. Scoring 38 runs means that everyone has to be hitting the ball and that's exactly what happened Wednesday night. It seemed like everyone had at least 2 to 3 hits during the game and the aggressive base running was just too much for Aces of Bases to handle. They scored 9 runs in the first inning, 7 runs in the second. Another 9 runs in the 5th inning and finally 11 runs in the 6th inning. This team is peaking and finally had the entire team together and that is scary. All other teams beware.

On Wednesday night the Misfits finally put it all together and pulled out a much needed win before the play offs get started. The entire team hit the ball well, ran the bases aggressively and simply outworked Boehner Jamz in the final 2 innings. Great pitching and leadership from Marley was also a key factor in the win. After struggling for a couple of weeks this team now seems to be on track and ready to compete for a league title. Great game Misfits!
