The first player of the week is Emily B. for her excellent first night of Underdog Dodgeball. Emily helped her team to a 2 and 0 start, and she did it with outstanding catches. She had her opponents perplexed with her ridiculous catching ability. Emily also had solid throwing skills and some polished dodging skills as well. Emily and her fearless catching abilities is what earns her this weeks player of the week. Great job Emily!

This weeks stellar performance comes from Evan L. with his team leading "out" count. Evan lead his team to a solid 5 to 2 win, and did it by producing outs! Evan's dodge moves were also solid, but it was his "out" production that earns Evan POTW. Great games Evan.

Tough Losses but held strong
The Groovy Bears went up against some tough squads on Thursday night and even though went down in both showings, showed some true strength in character. They fought strong and they fought hard and never gave up. They held their heads high and continued to generate great energy through the fun they all seemed to have. Teams and fans can all appreciate and get behind a team like The Groovy Bears. With that said, teams out there should not for a second take them lightly b/c when their chemistry comes together, LOOK OUT world, Green shirts will dominate!

Balls to the Wall
Christian was on top of his game on Thursday. I don't know if he has a coach in a wheelchair ( reference to a movie), but it sure seemed like he just received special training in the Dodgeball arts. His throws we're dead on, he caught as many were thrown at him. He was a big reason why Balls to the Wall won their first game. I heard he's a free agent after this season.....Christian's gonna get paid!!!!

There was no throw that Annalise of Balls to the Wall could not catch....well maybe there were a couple but that doesn't change the fact that she helped her team with some sweet snags. During one match as her opponents were all gunning for her, she was able to catch a pair back to back bringing in 2 off the bench. Keep playing hard, Annalise.....and keep smiling:)

Sarah should have been hoisted on her teams shoulders to be carried away to a magical place: (Leny's....or Blue Star) and been offered an endless amount of free drinks Thrusday night. B/c of her performance on the court against the always competitve Brian Jones team, Sterling Cooper came out on top 4 to 2. She made a game clincing catch at the end of game 4 to seal the deal. Great job, Sarah!
