The game of the week had to be the shootout between eY GUY! and the Lawn Wranglers. The 60-48 score is indicitave of the amount of action that there was up and down the field. In the middle of that action was Todd Sprangers as he was player of the game and now, Player of the Week. On the flip side, it was a tough Sunday Night debut for the Lawn Wranglers, who had always been successful in the Saturday league. They decided to step it up for Fall '06 and play in the best Underdog Mens League. It is a long season and I have a feeling these two teams might meet again in the playoffs. Judging by the score of yesterdays game, we all have something to look forward to.
Heading into week two, the Flag Snatchers needed a victory to get on the winning track and 36-22 win was just what the doctor ordered. The Flag Snatchers were led by Anthony Anderson who had two interceptions.
After catching the game winning touchdown pass for Green in an earlier coed game, Marc Doyal had quite an encore performance in the mens league game. Marc intercepted four passes and also caught a touchdown in a 20-0 rout of the Swashbucklers.
Quarterback, Takuya Davis had a spectacular performance for AC Davis this past Sunday. Takuya threw five touchdown passes and also three two point conversions. AC Davis is looking better and better each week. With the playoffs around the corner and Takuya Davis leading the way, AC Davis will be a tough hurdle for any team looking to better their positioning.
The seasonal Big Yak vs. Gamebreakers match-up is always full of great performances, close plays and good natured fun. This year, Big Yak pulled out a 25 - 21 victory in the last seconds of the game in no small part to receiver and corner Marc Doyal. Marc had a huge touchdown that kept the Yak in the game after one of his three interceptions. His defensive prowess gave Big Yak the edge this year; I sure hope to see a rematch in the playoffs.
Heading into their matchup with Rx Pushers, Lobstermania wanted to get on the right track for their upcoming playoff run. Led by Andrew Bartram, Lobstermania did just that in an impressive 34-6 week 6 victory.

POTW: Bayley Le
So Dope
With his team down 1 point with under two minutes to go, Bayley helped drive his team down to the endzone. He then got his team's game winning touchdown to advance So Dope to the semifinals.
Much like former NFL defensive great Chris Spielman, Brian Spielman made a great impact on the defensive side of the ball for the Supa F.U.P.A.s. Early in the game with the F.U.P.A.s leading 7-0, Brian intercepted a pass down the middle and returned it for a touchdown. It was one of four interception returns for TDs in the championship by the F.U.P.A.s in a 58-7 rout.
