With the top seat of the division and a first round bye, Indiana Jones expected to waltz to the ever elusive USL softball championship. Team Wrecking Crew and the Master Batters would prove this a gross miscalculation. First, Indiana just staved off a final inning rally by the Batters to win the first game by only one run. In their second game, Jones faced the Wrecking Crew in their third game of the day. The Crew was out for blood and were chasing after that championship crown like a band of cannibalistic natives. After the Crew took the lead in the top of the tenth and Jones failed to answer back in the bottom half of the inning, Jones needed a rally. Then when the Crew added a run in the top of the seventh, Jones looked done. However, Joe Randall came up huge with a hit that scored the tying run and ended scoring the winning run himself. Congrats Indiana Jones and remember, X never marks the spot.
