Doug Hoots, toughed out two ball games on this day dealing with an obvious hamstring issue. If this were the world series, Doug's name would be Kirk Gibson as he belted ball after ball and rounding the bases pumping his fist he legged out run after run after run. There was no denying Doug as his sole mission everytime he got on base, was to score...

Tarah Thordarson
Tarah Thordarson
Raindawgs
Tara showed great composure as the pitcher for her team. While her team went 1 and 1 for the day, she was the glue of the defense and even endured heckling and stereotyping as a female pitcher. Often times you heard the opposing team's base coach yell, "just kick it near the pitcher, she will never get you out." Well, teams tried that strategy on numerous occasions and guess what? More often than not (Way more), she was able to field her position and make throws to first base to record the out! If we had an official stat, Tara would have led the day in fielding percentage and infield assists. Tara also, wasn't too shabby at the dish. If Underdog made a Mt. Rushmore image for girl power, Tara's face would definitely be one of those on the mountain!

Kirsten Becker
Kirsten Becker
Balls Deep
Kirsten "One half of the power couple" Becker deserved player of the week honors for her great play and attitude on the field. Kirsten's other half was not bad either but he was no Kirsten. She seemed to always have a smile on her face no matter if she got on base or not, as it seemed apparent she was ejoying the sunshine and having fun just playing kickball. Kirsten did get a chance to shine when a booming kick was coming her direction in the outfield, she did not shy away from it as she put both hands out to make a great bobbling catch.

Wes Miller
Wes Miller
Dream Team
Wes Miller kicking it to the Left-field fence earned him this weeks player of the week. Wes got on base with solid kicks all night, but when he came up with the bases loaded magic happened. Wes was able to sneak it between the center fielder and left fielder sending a shot deep to left to the fence by the play-ground. Wes was able to round the bases with ease and had 3 team-mates waiting at the plate for the obligatory high-five. Great job Wes!

Balls Deep
Brian showed true Underdog spirit on this night.
He never gave up his effort and his smile never wavered. Even when the game seemed hopelessly over, Brian re-ignited his teams fun-factor with a dazzling catch while sliding late in the game.
Great spirit and great play Brian!

Natasha Kroh
Natasha Kroh
Dream Team
Tasha was the defensive fury for dream teams crushing victory this week. The opposing offense was targeting her with every kick and Tasha held her own by ducking out of the way a few times and making sure her teammates caught the ball. She had the eye of the tiger on defense this week making her the player of the week.

Tyson couldn't stop smiling as he was taken back to the ole skool days on the playground with his friends.
Just knockin' the ball around and having fun, he ended up kicking safely 3 of 4 attempts and contributed like a veteran on defense!

Will Macdonald
Will Macdonald
Raindawgs
Will Macdonald showed why it does not matter what you look like, but how you play the game. In the 80 degree heat, Will forgot his pair of shorts so he had to play in his jeans. While playing in your jeans might hinder some people, it seem to energize Will as he was all over the field making spectacular play after play, so much so that his team could have taken an entire inning off as Will made all the outs. Will was definitely the shining star that helped the Raindawgs win a hard fought playoff game. With Will's play the Raindawgs definitely have a chance at taking home the championship this season.
