Will Macdonald

Raindawgs

Will Macdonald showed why it does not matter what you look like, but how you play the game. In the 80 degree heat, Will forgot his pair of shorts so he had to play in his jeans. While playing in your jeans might hinder some people, it seem to energize Will as he was all over the field making spectacular play after play, so much so that his team could have taken an entire inning off as Will made all the outs. Will was definitely the shining star that helped the Raindawgs win a hard fought playoff game. With Will's play the Raindawgs definitely have a chance at taking home the championship this season.

Thursday, June 13

Tarah Thordarson

Raindawgs

Tara showed great composure as the pitcher for her team. While her team went 1 and 1 for the day, she was the glue of the defense and even endured heckling and stereotyping as a female pitcher. Often times you heard the opposing team's base coach yell, "just kick it near the pitcher, she will never get you out." Well, teams tried that strategy on numerous occasions and guess what? More often than not (Way more), she was able to field her position and make throws to first base to record the out! If we had an official stat, Tara would have led the day in fielding percentage and infield assists. Tara also, wasn't too shabby at the dish. If Underdog made a Mt. Rushmore image for girl power, Tara's face would definitely be one of those on the mountain!
