Despite the two losses, Matt was well deserving of player of the week for pitching two complete games for his team. Even when teams were hitting him or the defense made a mistake he kept his head up, kept his team in it and kept throwing strikes. Matt plays the game the right way and pitched well regardless of the score. Great job Matt.

Doubleheaders might drain on some players, but Amanda Carlo thrived on this Monday night in Wedgewood. Batting third in the lineup, Amanda was undefeated on the night, going a combined 9-9 through both games while knocking in 9 runs. Her undefeated night at the plate was matched by her defending and short stop and second base. Amanda consistently prevented balls going by her and recorded outs throwing to first with pinpoint accuracy (despite some errors from her teammates). She put an exclamation point on her night defensively with an over the shoulder diving catch late in the second game. Amanda was so dominant on the night, she was confident enough to look back at the catcher to take a first pitch strike before launching the next pitch into the outfield for a double. Congrats Amanda!

Steve went 3-3 with some smashing line drives. He also pitched very well, including defense off the mound, in a close 15-11 win against Pitch Don’t Kill My Vibe.

JUST a Bit Outside
Will went 4-5 at the plate and scored four runs. The four runs accounted for half of Just a Bit Outsides total as they went on to clinch the one seed for the playoffs.
Hit 'EM with the D was a team on a mission on Wednesday. The 2 seeded squad needed to win 2 games to take home the title, and they did just that. The champs put up a total of 47 runs over the 2 games, while only allowing 18 on defense. It was truly a dominant performance. In game 1 they were led by Marcus C's 4 for 5 at the plate, defeating #3 Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe. Game 2's victory over #1 JUST a Bit Outside avenged their only loss of the season, and secured the championship. Way to go guy and gals!
