It was a high-energy evening that started off the Spring Big Turkey Bowling at Imperial Lanes on Tuesday. Alex, returning for his second season on an Indy team (props for sticking with it), was anxious to see what sort of teammates he'd be graced with this season, but it looks like they're the ones that scored! With a total of 8 spares and 7 strikes (which included a turkey), Alex walked away with a total pin count of 353 for the evening. He and his teammates celebrated his skill and victory, while Split Happens decided...well, sometimes splits just happen. Great job to all of the teams!!

...how does it feel to be Player of the Week?

Erica came ready to celebrate tonight with her perfectly decorated mustache cookies on a stick. Not only were they the perfect accessory for the theme night, they were quite tasty too!

Erica showed great sportsmanship by passing out cookies not only to her team, but to players on numerous other teams.

Wild Turkey is such a great addition to this league, especially since they know 'The 10 secrets to Bowling' and have the best artist in all of Seattle on their team.

Special shout-out tonight to Matt, great job on the shirts, can't wait to see what next week brings!!!

...and accepted!!!

At the end of Game 1, I noticed that both Tim of "Crazy Don't Quit" and Rob of "Too Busy for Bowling" had gotten 2 turkeys. So I issued a challenge "First one to 3 turkeys will be crowned Player of the Week" and so it was on...

Tim told me he would be back to claim the title in 3 frames.

Enter Game 2, it only took 4 frames and Tim had his third turkey. He can be quoted saying "it's not over yet!" and it wasn't! Tim went on to get 3 more strikes in game 2 to end the night with a total of 14 strikes and a final score of 413!!!!! Rob made a great effort, as well. Congrats to both of you!

Theme Night - aka TV Show Night

The nominees are in...
...and the "Golden Dress Award", I mean "Player of the Week" goes to Scott of Wild Turkey!

Favorite TV shows were the theme for tonight and WIld Turkey delivered. They came dressed as "Mad Men" Though the whole team dressed to impress, it was Scott who stood out among his teammates.

His sportsmanship showed from the very beginning when Scott showed up in a golden dress that wasn't even his size. He was quite the trooper, never changing out of it all night.

Mid-way through the night, a player from another team approched me and said. "did you give the guy in the dress a ton of spirit tickets?" Of course I already had!

One last hurrah came when Scott showed us his "trick" a double kick move similar to a cheerleader. This sealed the deal for me!!! Way to go Scott.

Mike of "Poppy Cocks" bowled game 1 with no open frames and a total of 200.

Drew of "Roy Munson's Kids" bowled game 2 almost perfect, he had 7 X's in a row and a total score of 246.

Dan came dressed complete in stars and stripes and a top hat for the "holiday" today!!! When I asked him if he owned this outfit, he told me of course, and that he has lots of different costumes.

Good thing Super Hero night isn't until next week, because Dan's "Captain America" costume is out on loan!!
