If Monday Night was a test of the will to win of Freeballers, they passed with flying colors. After falling behind 16-0, they played strong and steady the rest of the way, eventually taking control and holding on for a 49-48 victory. In a game with many hotly contested plays, the Freeballers kept their cool, led by Quarterback Ryan Bekins. Ryan threw had a hand in 7 touchdowns, and was 7-7 on one point conversions. With all of those 7's one could say it was lucky, but The Statdog was there to see it, and it was no fluke.

After suffering a narrow defeat in the opening game of their double-header, EBK came out swinging in their second game, lead by Wally Barger. In a 46-0 rout, the play that sealed the game was Wally's first ever interception return for a touchdown. Wally picked off the pass near EBK's goal line, in stride, and ran down the field. After making a key cutback move at about midfield, it was only a matter of whether or not his legs would fail him the rest of the way. Fortunately, Barger was able out-distance the remaining defenders by just enough to space to take it all the way!

Turtle's Drawers had a happy day on Tuesday. Specifically, Britt Corra. It was Britt's birthday on Tuesday, and he celebrated by scoring the game winning touchdown in a 42-36 victory over a game bunch from AIM Consulting. In a game where neither team could separate themselves from the other, it seemed as though the team with the ball last was going to win. As it turned out, time was the only thing that stopped AIM consulting. On the final play of the game, there was a flag pull stopping them at the one yard line. The difference between these teams is razor sharp, and you have to credit Britt for making the biggest play of the game, by scoring the game winning touchdown.

While his team's name continues to change, the results are often the same. On Tuesday Night, Britt Corra led Turtle's Drawers to an impressive 43-12. Corra led the way by making a key interception that changed the complexion of a close game, late in the first half, and he also chipped in three touchdowns for good measure.

This weeks honors go to Freeballers and thier excellence all season on offense. Freeballers routinely puts up points, and forces their opponents hand to try to keep up with their pace. Freeballers have excellent recievers up and down the line making it tough for defenses to just key in on one player. Quarterback Ryan B. has an easy task of just putting the ball in the air and letting any one of his recievers go up to get it. Great job Freeballers on your season thus far!
