Darren did it all tonight. Offensively he led the barrage with 3 HR and 6 RBI. Every time he kicked the ball it seemed to be with power and with runners on. Defensively he Locke sit down at first and made some great catches at first to record a couple clutch outs. He was a huge reason why Base Gods won tonight.
Savannah killed it tonight on the field. In left center she made great catch after greet catch to keep her team on a high on defense. Offensively she had a couple big hits in each game she played. She had a great all around game and deserved player of the week for her efforts.
The man is so good he is on the roster twice. Nick absolutely killed it this past Monday by crushing the ball for 2 Homers and 2 RKI's. Not everyone can be as perfect as Nick was this week, oh wait his team did want to remind him of the dropped ball he had in the outfield. I guess he is human. Hahaha, great job out there Nick, keep killing it.
Scott came up as clutch as you can in his game today. In the bottom of the seventh in a tie game Scott stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and one out. In the first pitch he saw he hit a deep fly to left center that nobody was able to get to and ended up plating the winning run.
This amazing mother did some pretty spectacular stuff on kickball field Tuesday night. Not only was she a lock down at 3rd base. When her team was down and threr were two outs, she made a masterful bunt that would bring in the tying run which would save her team from defeat. Everyone in the dugout was going nuts. Amazing job Kristine being a super mom and a great kickball player.
Holy Moly is Aimee amazing. She caught every ball that came her way and made it all look easy. And I'm not talking like 2 or 3 pop fly's. Try over 10 with half of those being line drives that moved like a knuckle ball. She had the golden sticky hands and caught everything. I was floored that someone made catching a big rubber ball twice the size of a soccer ball look so easy. Not only that but she went 1,000 kicking average with perfectly placed bunts every time. Aimee, you are an amazing player! Keep up the good work and your team will go far in playoffs.
Looking to Score cruised to a 10-4 victory on Thursday, but the game was not without excitement. Left Fielder David Bao turned in one the greatest catches you'll ever see in Kickball. David made diving, over-the-shoulder catch on a deep fly ball that looked like it was sure to get down for extra bases. With the playoffs looming, Looking to Score will counting on more plays like this from David.
Matthew was a key component in both of All Natural's games during their elite and unexpected playoff run. In their first game against the #1 seeded Ballerinas he batted 1000. And he made the game winning catch. Granted it bounced off his first baseman but he showed amazing hustle to back her up and seal the deal. He did just as well in the championship game and giving a little more this time scrapping his knee while rounding second and dodging a potential tag. Excellent job Matthew, I look forward to seeing your skills in the upcoming season.
The Base Gods put the finishing touch on their dominant undefeated season on Tuesday, winning back to back games to take home the Headbands. However the championship proved to be the biggest challenge of the season, as the 3 seeded Freiheit ArchKICKtects put up one hell of a fight..
Thanks to a combination of strong defense and a little bit of luck, Freiheit led the game 3-2 heading into the bottom 6th inning. Having won every game by at least 5 runs over the course of a season, the mighty Base Gods were in uncharted territory. But in the bottom of the 6th the Gods loaded the bases with no outs, and were able to push across 3 runs. A 1-2-3 top of the 7th on defense capped off their comeback and secured the elusive perfect season.
