Winter Co-ed Dodgeball at Wallingford Boys and Girls Club Sundays

Sirena did the unthinkable tonight helping lead her team to victory. Sirena was the last one standing versus 4 opponents, and she stayed in the game for 8 minutes fighting off the opponent before finally taking one out. She than had a catch and with her teammate they quickly disposed of the opponent. The total match lasted 12 minutes. Great job Sirena!!

Kacie did the unthinkable at dodgeball. It was 6 vs 1 with Kacie next in line to come in on a catch when a player made the catch that got Kacie into the game. Right after the catch the guy got out leaving Kacie and her smile versus 5 players. One by one Kacie did the unthinkable and picked them off, while blocking off the on-coming throws. 4 on 1 to 3 on 1 to 2 on 1 than it was just Kacie heads up versus the hard throwing guy. A couple exchanges back and forth and Kacie let it fly hitting the guy in the chest, ball bounces into the air, than off his right hand and on to the ground. Game. Set. Match. Kacie made the greatest comeback in Dodgeball history. Great Job Kacie, and keep smiling.

Staying fairly quiet until the last game, Rickie Richardson burst onto the court with flair in the deciding game of the match. Tied at 4-4 and her team outnumbered by 2, Rickie made a terrific one-handed catch with a ball in the other hand to turn the tide and eventually key the win for The Abusement Park. Way to go Rickie!

Annie deserves this honor with her play on the court and her leadership off. Annie playing hurt helped her team reach the finals. Several times being the last player on her team left on the court. Winning several matches for her team. Annie has a gun for an arm and a smile to boot. But don't let the smile fool you. Annie has a very competitive streak and hates to lose. This firey attitude helps propel her to victory. Great job Annie!!
