In two games, The Allies put on a softball clinic on Saturday. Winning both games by a comfortable margin, they showed why they went virtually unchallenged throughout the season. This bunch never let up, and showed true dominance in their championship run.
In a day where The Allies were unstoppable, Kelly Trudeau led the way by going 3-4 in the championship game. While Kelly was terrific with the bat, she was just as effective with her glove as she made countless great plays at Second Base.
On a glorious fall day at Hamlin Park, The Allies and Ace Hardware met in a battle of the 1st and 2nd place teams. Frank got a HR, a triple, and a double, as the Allies consistent offense overcame Ace's 8-run 2nd inning to win 10-9. Great game by both teams and congratulations Frank Valdez as POTW!
In a herculean effort, Betty Gonzalez proved to be the iron woman by helping multiple teams to victory. Betty's main contribution however, came in her own team's emotional 6-5 victory as she was the driving force in a comeback win.
