It was a classic pitching duel through three innings with the Birddogs taking the early lead, 1-0, into the bottom of the fourth. Then, the Usual Suspects bats came alive, just as they did in the semi-final game, scoring five runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth. Jason and Jeff led the hitting attack as Jason hit a two run home in the fourth which bounced off the glove of the Birddog left fielder. Jeff, followed with another two run home run after Camille got onto first.
The hitting attack continued in the bottom of the fifth with Jason Carroll's second home run of the game and his fourth in the playoffs.
Well this one was just a blow out. Jason hit four home runs on his teams path to a championship. Jason accounted for 61% of his teams runs or rbi's in the three games.
Gordon is our player of the week for his craftiness on the field. Yes, the word craft was just used to describe a man who is 6'5". He knocked the ball out of the park, hit singles and threw people out on base. He was the true team player this week and this is why he is getting player of the week.
