In game one versus the Entercommies, Ouch was taken to the limit after giving up the tying run in the top of the seventh. In the bottom half, with 2 outs and 1 strike, Mike W came through with the walk off kick that sent Ouch My Balls! to the finals.
The championship game was a defensive battle that also came down to the final inning. Ouch! was up by 2 with Pitches and Bunts coming up to kick in the bottom of the 7th. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out and a big kick to right. The catch is made and then an even more incredible throw (think Ichiro's famous throw) to home plate that is deftly redirected by the catcher to record the final out. Great attitude, great play, great results!!
Jon had 2 great games on Monday night leading his team to the title. In game 1, he had a great kick knocking in 2 runs and made some incredible catches and throws in the outfield.
In game 2, Jon went 3 for 4 with a couple RBI's but his key play came on defense with Ouch! holding on to a 2-run lead. On a big pop fly to right field, Jon made the catch. He then ran towards first before heaving the ball to home where the catcher redirected it at the runner just before she got to home--A fantastic DP to end a very exciting championship game.
Davis Luden is this weeks 'player of the week.' He had 2 HR's and 5 RBI's. He also played good defense and his team won the game!
