It was all business on Wednesday night as the top four teams arrived to play their hand at the championship position. On lanes 1 and 2 we saw Nick's Angels take on X-Marks the spot; lanes 3 and 4 had Irritable Bowl Syndrome facing the Gutter Sluts. Beer was flowing, but the dedication and concentration were certainly there for the top four teams. But only two could continue on to battle for the honored and coveted title of Big Turkey Bowling League Championships. Irritable Bowl Syndrome put up a good fight in their superhero garb, but all their magical powers just weren't enough as the Gutter Sluts reigned victorious. Nick's Angels took their chances playing with only 4 people, one of which was injured. Despite putting their best foot (and ball) forward, they chalked up a loss to X Marks the spot.
After much congratulatory and lane-shifting, the final game was on!! And boy was it a close one; the final score read 617-611. But who took the crown you ask?? The one...the ONLY...GUTTER SLUTS!!! The entire team played spectacularly, but the shout out goes to George for his awesome closer in the first game that propelled them into the championship game. All teams did a fantastic job and it was a great season. Congratulations to the Gutter Sluts, and to all of our Wednesday night teams!
Mustaches, mustaches, mustaches galore!! From pink to orange, fake mustaches and fake eyebrows cut to look like mustaches, even a burned cork end to color facial hair on...and only one "real" mustache in the entire crowd! But the mustaches surrounding Angel of Gutter Sluts didn't phase her one bit.
She's a solid player, and usually plays a good game, but the fake facial hair around her must have served as inspiration. Angel scored two real turkeys, one in the first game and one in the second game. Her second turkey could be heard halfway across the building as she and her teammates cheered her victory! Angel ended up with final scores of 190 and 215; that's right kids, she managed to cap out on one of her games! It was one of her better games in her bowling career! She left floating on cloud nine with images of women with grey and purple mustaches...
