First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Magnolia/Queen Anne Sundays

Sully's picked up their first Underdog championship on Sunday, beating the #1 seed Dugouts to take home the champ shirts.

Throughout the season, Sully's had showed off a high powered offense, and that was no different in the playoffs as they averaged over 20 runs a game.

Sully's came out with that big time offense early and put the Dugouts in a quick hole. Out of their 11 batters, 8 came around to score in the first to put the pressure on their opponents. The Dugouts didn't wilt under the first inning pressure, picking 4 runs back up in the bottom of the inning to let Sully's know that they didn't intend to go down without a fight.

In the end though, the Sully's offense proved to be too much when combined with their suffocating defense. Sully's doubled up their run total after the 3rd inning, but held the Dugouts to just 1 run over their next 4 innings, creating a hole that was too deep to dig out of.

POTW: Kayla Stoeser

Sully's Lounge

This weeks player of the week goes to the efforts of Kayla Stoesser at the plate, and second-base. On defense she made great defensive plays to help her team in a close game that opened up in the last inning. She racked up lots of outs, even one that was called safe. It was her bat that was the key to the POTW, hitting bomb after bomb making the defense run for balls hit over their head. She had lots of RBI's, and was the difference for her team, helping them find the win column.
