The Keglers, the returning champs were short one person, but not just any person, their captain who holds a 180ish average. In the first game of the night the Keglers were up against Strike Rhymes with bike who were fresh off a POTW from last week so they were riding high! These teams were vying for a spot in the championship tonight! The other teams looking for that coveted spot were veterans Team Edward, who had a handsome little mascot and a couple birthdays on their side and Living on a Spare, dressed in USL blues and ready to throw down.
Forget about the NCAA folks, this is the big dance, let ESPN know WSBTB is where is it at!! At the end of the first game the match up came down to The Keglers and Living on a Spare - these teams had met before under similar circumstances last season.... there was a lot of high fiving, lots of fist pumping after strikes and no girl scout cookies to distract anyone. In the end playing without a quarterback was just as bad for the Keglers as for some well known football teams and living on a Spare edged them out of their run at back to back championships! Donning the new Champs shirts and wristbands the Spare livers are ready to hold and defend that title next season!! Watch out. ESPN 8: The ocho.
