Notes

First Place

Summer Softcore Kickball at Ballard Boys & Girls Club Tuesdays/Thursdays

In both of their games tonight Pitch, Please took an early lead and never looked back, jumping out to a four run lead early in the first game, it took another four runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach and secure a trip to the championship game. In their second game of the night, Pitch, Please seemed to average one run per inning throughout the game and steadily increased their lead until it was almost unreachable in the later innings. These score differentials were made possible through solid defensive play in the outfield and at first base. Congratulations on the championship and way to play!

Thursday, August 3

Richard Ryder

Pitch, Please

Today, it seemed as though there were three Richard's in the outfield. Anything that was hit into the outfield was quickly enveloped into his waiting arms throughout both games. Richard was phenomenal on defense and good enough on offense to score multiple runs in both games. Congratulations on the wins and way to play.

Thursday, July 20

Jordan Montgomery

Pitch, Please

Jordan had an amazing game both out in the field and at the plate. He made many catches in right and made no errors. At the plate Jordan went 3-4 with some crucial RBI hits.

Tuesday, July 11

Meritt Peterson

Pitch, Please

In a game heavy on defense, Meritt Peterson played a complete game at first base. Pitch, Please only allowed one run all game; much of that was due to Meritt's defense. In addition to her play in the field, Meritt had a great day at the plate as well. She knocked in a run with a double that landed between the third baseman and left field and hit a triple to lead off an inning. Meritt's efforts put Pitch, Please in front, and her defense kept them there. Congrats Meritt!
