Defending Champions from 2015, The Bellevue Ballbarians have been in the Finals every year since the inception of the GMC Seattle Metro Summer Picnic Series. In 2013, this squad surprised everyone when they sliced through the competition on their way to their first Championship. The next year, after the league changed sports from softball to kickball, the injury riddled Bellevue team lost a heartbreaker in the Championship game, finishing an admirable 2nd place. Bellevue redeemed themselves last year, despite their late entry into the tournament due to a “clerical error” (or what was rumored as foul play to eliminate the team from the start), and brought the Championship trophy back home to the comfy confines of the 3rd Floor at Ridgewood Corporate Square.
