After a week to regroup after a softball mishap, both teams showed up ready to play. "Hit it and Forget About it!" started off very hot scoring 5 runs in the first and 5 runs in the second as Rip-It got off to a slow start with only 2 runs after 2 innings. As time rolled on so did Rip-It, with a couple successful innings of putting people on the bases, and knocking them in, they took the lead with a couple innings left in the game. In the top of the 7th Hit it and Forget about it put a couple on and their slugger was at the plate with a home-run left. After watching one he thought he got his and got a bit jammed as he popped it up to left and Rip-It walked with the champ shirts! Great season to both teams! See ya in the spring!
This weeks player of the week goes to Catherine Browne of "Rip-It" for showing up after lasts week. She played all 7 innings, and was great with the bat being aggressive, and going opposite field, throwing off the defense. She played with no hesitation and helped her team win the chipper, as well as made some great cup-cakes!! always helps, great job Catherine!
John helped to spark a rally that kept Rip-it's playoffs alive. The game was a tense and close game until John hit a 2 run Homerun in the bottom of the 6th that sparked a 7 run rally that lifted Rip-it on to the next round.
This weeks player of the week goes to Rebecca Peterson from "Rip-IT". In a very tight game with lots of good defense from both teams, Rebecca was able to find a hole in the field early in the game in deep right with a stand-up double. It was her double in the bottom of the 7th that made the difference in the game giving her team a 1 run win scoring the winning run with her hit! Great job Rebecca!
