Fall Co-ed Softball at Lower Woodlands Mondays

This was a great championship night!! It possessed plenty of great plays on "D", and plenty of big hits. The championship game had to of the leagues best teams playing for the crown, "The Duece" and "Rip-it". This game had awesome play in the field, neither team showing any weaknesses, and it came down to the bats. In the top of the 7th it was Rip-it who put up 3 runs to go ahead by 4 runs for the bottom. The Duece came out putting runners on right away, and looked to make a run. With 3 runs in already in it was The Duece's star short stop who tried to test the arm of outfielder Scott Smiles, and headed for home. It was at the plate where the championship was decided, Rip-it was able to get leather on the throw, and get the tag down just in time to get the base runner. This was a great ending to a great game!!! Great job to both teams!!

RIP-IT

This weeks player of the week goes to Scott Smiles from the championship winning team!! Without his great throw in the final game to home plate for the game winning out, the game may have had another outcome! IT was also his play in all three of Rip-it's gmaes. He never leaves anything in the bag, its always a 110%, and some. He hits to the gaps on call, runs the bases like a jackrabbit, and fields the ball like a magnet. He helped his team in all of their 3 games!! Great job Scott!!

RIP-IT

Dave hit a 3 run homer to power RIP-IT past Ah Beer in the first game of the fall season. Dave had an overall good day at the plate going 3 for 4. The homerun was the difference maker though propelling his team to a 3 run win. Dave also contributed in the field pitching a solid game with great team "D" behind him.
