Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Still McLovin, Team BadonkaDonk, Unicorns
POTW: Jay Christianson
Rubber Balls and Liquor
Jay used his impressive wingspan to snare opposing line drives in the infield. On offense, he unleashed his own blazing ropes as he scattered hits to all parts of the field. Well played Jay...
Kick City Kickers, NADS - Indy #1, Still McLovin, Team BadonkaDonk
POTW: Marko Oblak
Goat Rodeo
Marko provided game-changing defense for Goat Rodeo on Tuesday, flying all over the field making catch after catch. The shortstop seemed to be wherever the play was, leading the way to a 5-2 win. He also used his speed to get on base and help the offense on their march to victory.
Goat Rodeo, Still McLovin, Team BadonkaDonk, Unicorns
POTW: Tim Bovee
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers
Tim was like a wall at third base, never letting a grounder or a line drive go past him. It did help that he kept a well manicured third base area. He displayed amazing skills with a common house broom, making it even possible to see third base from outer space. Cleanliness aside, his defense did the talking and held the NADS at bay. Several spinning pop ups were handled with ease and his confidence in getting the job done fed into his team's overall play.
Goat Rodeo, NADS - Indy #1, Rubber Balls and Liquor, Team BadonkaDonk
POTW: Kyle Stetner
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers
Kyle had about as close to a perfect game as possible Tuesday night in Ballard. Aside from some great pitching and relays to first for easy outs, Kyle smashed a 3 RKI triple that broke the game wide open for his team after things being close for a long time. Cheers, Kyle, you earned it.
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Kick City Kickers, Still McLovin, Unicorns
POTW: Brian Perkins
Rubber Balls and Liquor
Brian wins our player of the week because of his stellar defense at first base. The highlight of his game was doubling up an unalert baserunner at first. He also came up with several good catches of bad throws to record a few more outs.
Though his team didn't earn the W, Brian deserves a Gold Glove!
Goat Rodeo, Kick City Kickers, Still McLovin, Team BadonkaDonk
POTW: Carrie Runde
NADS - Indy #1
The NADS may have been a little overmatched against the fearsome Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, but that doesn't mean they were going to go down without a fight, or without having a good time. The NADS, and in particular Carrie Runde, hustled on every play, giving it their all. Carrie had one dive into first to barely beat out a throw, and followed it up with a split onto second base to just make it there. She seemed to be making it around the bases on sheer willpower. She could not be stopped. GO NADS! Err... well, you know what we mean.
Goat Rodeo, Kick City Kickers, NADS - Indy #1, Still McLovin
POTW: Jill Wiggins
Team BadonkaDonk
The player of the week this week is Jill Wiggins. when the game should have ended on a called strikeout jill yelled at her team that they wouldn't let the game end on a lame call like that. Thanks Jill, you were the perfect example of the Underdog spirit out there.
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Rubber Balls and Liquor, Team BadonkaDonk, Unicorns
POTW: John Asher
Still McLovin
The player of the week this week is John Asher. John came up with play after play on defense at first base. His amazing plays included an unassisted double play and a diving force out at first using his hand to touch the base. Great job John

POTW: Sean Pollock
Team BadonkaDonk
Player of the week goes to Sean Pollock from team BadonkaDonk. Sean made a great defensive play in left-center field in the third inning, diving and catching a deep fly ball! In the top of the 7th inning, with team Rubber Balls and Liquor rallying with the bases loaded and one out, Sean turned a game-ending double play fielding a short bunt, getting the force out at home, and then doubling up the batter at first! Congrats to Sean Pollock! Honorable mentions go to pitcher Brian Piper who STRUCK OUT three consecutive batters to kill a potential rally! Honorable mentions also go to Jill Wiggins who, playing first base, collided with the runner and still held on to the ball to make the out! Congrats to team BadonkaDonk!!!!
Going into the 6th inning, the game was scoreless. That is, until Ron got up to the plate. With a runner on first, Ron ripped a line drive down the right field line to take a 3-0 lead over the NADS.
Kyle played a great all around game on Tuesday to lead Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers into the Ballard Boys and Girls Club Midcore finals. He pitched the entire game, playing great defense on bunts and always making good decisions. His biggest contribution, however, came with the bases loaded and the score tied in the bottom of the sixth. Kyle blasted a kick to deep left center which bounced off the fielder's hands, driving in two. The team would hold on from there for an exciting 8-6 victory.
