Hold My Kick kept this game interesting through three innings with a key double play on a great diving catch by the pitcher, doubling up the runner at third. However, in the 4th, Kick Yo Couch Ninja's took over the game with a big 2-run sac fly and defensively with a rally ending catch in right field in the 5th. The Ninja's added 7-runs in the 5th, including a 2-run double, that turned out to be too much for Hold My Kick to overcome. A well earned championship and great season for the Ninja's.

Thigh Power had two great games on Sunday--great in the fact that both went down to the final inning and both were 1 -run victories. In their first game, the "Apple Cup" of kickball [maroon cougs vs. the purple dawgs], Thigh Power [in purple] had to come back from a 7-3 deficit entering the 6th inning. They got 3 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th, and held Just Kickin' It scoreless for the final 4 innings for the chance to play for the title.
In the championship game, a 2-1 defensive battle, neither team could take control as the game would be decided in the 7th. An early sign was a key first inning double play, a rocket from 1st to 3rd, for Thigh Power. they followed that in the 2nd with a race to 2nd base for the final out that prevented a run from scoring. A sac fly got Thigh Power on the board in the 4th and they won it on a 7th inning, 2-out RBI infield single. A truly great game that deserved the title of "Championship".
