Sheboygan Leads 4th Grade All-Stars to Championship

On a sunny Thursday afternoon in the University District, the Slorollers and Picked Last In Gym went head to head for the third place title. Chris Carlton returned to the line-up for the Slorollers after missing most of the season due to injury. Slorollers jumped to an early lead, but their oppentent fought back in the third inning to bring the game within two. Rolling up their sleeves, the Slorollers built from their existing lead and ended the game with a 6-2 victory.

After the battle for the consolation abated its force, there came the battle for the championship. Ninja Turtles took on 4th Grade All-Stars. Defense controlled the first two innings, but the All-Stars broke the drought and took a small lead. The Ninja Turtles had a surge in the fifth, but were unable to breach the gap. Stephanie Stockwell displayed an exceptional performance throughout the evening, as well as the season. The All-stars, lead by Captain Tony from Wisconsin, won 5-2 capturing their first championship.
