Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Ligers, Mount Saint Hellions-Indy #1, Supercalifornia Pants
POTW: Science McGhee
The Runs!
The play that summed up 'The Runs' kickball experience:
One out, runner on 1st & 3rd, a Clev Steamer kicker hits a hard grounder right down the line to firstbaseman Science (who had just yelled "Easy Out!" for the 4 billionth time, causing the opposing dugout to start a near riot). Our POG, Science McGhee pulls an unassisted double play as she drops to her knees and wrestles with the ball, emerges from the dust cloud still on one knee, pegs the uncommitted runner who has just left first, snags the rebounded ball (as if she planned it all) and pegs the kicker only steps from first base. Even the other team was stunned into applause and cheering, as our heroine had just talked immense trash and then totally backed it up!
Ballard Ballers, Porkchop Express, The Runs!, Tony Danza & The Cleveland Steamers
POTW: Darren Allender
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers
In a 9-3 victory, Darren Allender proved himself to be a five tool kickball player. Darren ran, fielded, threw kicked for average and kicked for power for Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers. While other players are good at some aspects of kickball, Darren can do it all and that is why he is our player of the week.
Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Ligers, Mount Saint Hellions-Indy #1, Supercalifornia Pants
POTW: Eric Calderon
Porkchop Express
With all due respect to Tron, Eric Calderon led the way for the Porkchop Express last night. It was Eric's great pitching, superb defense and timely hitting that helped lead a 9-5 comeback victory.
Ballard Ballers, Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Mount Saint Hellions-Indy #1, Porkchop Express
POTW: Doug Orwiler
Supercalifornia Pants
7 players....no Problem - Doug was pitcher, sometimes catcher, sometimes 2nd Base, and all the time Super as Supercalifornia brought a halt to the Runs by a score of 11 to 4. After the game Doug went to his job as an account/firefighter/suregon/ bartender but found it rather unfufilling. So it goes...nice work Doug.
Ballard Ballers, Dr. Sanchez and the Ballers, Supercalifornia Pants, Tony Danza & The Cleveland Steamers
POTW: J Bowen IV
Mount Saint Hellions-Indy #1
It was another good week for the rapidly improving Mount Saint Hellions. Their latest victim was a hard fighting but shorthanded Porkchop Express team. In a 5-1 victory, J Bowen was the catylist, scoring three runs along with producing some outstanding defensive plays.
Ligers, Mount Saint Hellions-Indy #1, Porkchop Express, The Runs!
POTW: Scott Krashan
Ballard Ballers
Scott was a force in the field and at the plate as the Ballard Ballers barely beat the daylight to get to the 7th inning and beat the daylight out of Dr. Sanchez as the light blue's prevailed 9-3. Nice work Scott.

POTW: Brian Galbraith
Ligers
When his team needed him most, Brian Galbraith stepped up to the plate and delivered. Needing to put together a rally to fend off a pesky Dr. Sanchez, Brian put on his version of a "Rally Shirt" and hit what turned out to be the game winning home run. The win moved the Ligers on to face Supercalifornia Pants with plenty of glory on the line.
With the only home run of the day, Ryan Shimabukuro led the way in the championship round for Supercalifornia Pants. In the fourth inning, Ryan stepped up to the plate and delivered a monster shot that got over the heads of the outfielders. With Ryan's tremendous speed being a factor, once the ball got over their heads, it was a forgone conclusion that he would touch em' all.
