Early Summer Midcore Beach Volleyball at Golden Gardens Mondays

Chris Peterson was a rockstar from the get go. He came to Golden Gardens with the coolest sunglasses and great attitude ready to play some volleyball. He started at the first set of matches with intense serves to the opposing team and built up his reputation from there. Chris stayed for the second set of matches and helped bring his team to a 3-0 victory. He was a team player though and through. Way to go Chris! You better bring those awesome sunglasses next week to beat the sun!

Troy Terry had two outstanding games tonight! From the get go, he was determined to block any ball that came his way. If Troy was unable to block the ball, he was still able to smoothly set it to one of his teammates to return to their opponent. His teammates continued to cheer him on throughout the sets because they believed he would help bring their team to victory. With Troy's 'clutch plays', dominating spikes, and serves, the Freeballers won their second game. Way to be aggressive this week Troy!!!

The stylish Matthew Rock wins player of the week during the hectic crowded beach on Monday. Playing with the "best headgear" he had an overall great night, with an abundance of kills, digs, blocks, and great saves. Sometimes people get recognition for their style and sometimes for their performance, but on Monday Matthew receives both. Congrats Mathew!
