Let's not lie...we're here for the beer.
It was a big night. Not only was it the night of the elections, but (more importantly) it was the first night of Late Fall Big Turkey Bowling at Imperial Lanes. And teams were here to win (and follow the election results closely on their smart phones).

Steven Hannah was there early. He scoped out his lanes; stretched his hammies; threw some amazing practice frames (that included more than a few marks). He felt confident and ready...and boy did he need that confidence. You see, Steven was carrying the torch for his team...his ENTIRE team...while they all stayed home to watch the election results on television. Did that deter him, or slow him down? Of course not! Steven came out strong, and almost finished his night with a turkey in the tenth frame! Who knows how well his team would have done if they'd had more players? Either way, Steven kept his game strong and his attitude high, and had a great time in spite of his team members. A warning to other teams: he's quiet and unassuming, but he's one to keep an eye on. ;)

Great job to all the teams!!

It was a dark and stormy night in south Seattle as teams battled with traffic and rain to get to Imperial Lanes on Tuesday night. But their perseverance paid off once the beer started flowing and the pins started falling. But there was one player in particular whose resolve really showed.

Michelle from Sexy Strikers limped into the lanes on a bum leg (due to a softball injury) and a knee brace with her, determined to make it through two full games this week. She limped and hopped her way through her first game to score a respectable 94 points. She continued to push her way through the second game, despite suffering another minor injury to her knee--she wouldn't let anything slow her down! Michelle scored another 94 points for her team during the second game, leading them to a 4-0 win over the Ash Kickers.

7 Strikes in one game. 5 Strikes in a row. "This has never happened to him before," reports a teammate. Up until that quote, no one would have ever guessed that Ashly was new to near perfect bowling. Simply put, he was on FIRE....and fun to watch, his teammates were going crazy. During one point, he had to help them maintain composure. "Guys settle down it's only one strike......of many," stated the man who ended up bowling a 216. NICE WORK!!
