This was Sarah Jo's first ever softball game and she made the ultimate sacrifice by playing right-handed while really being a true lefty! She also went 2-5 at the plate with 2 runs scored in the season opening victory for the Tasty Gloves. Very impressive Sarah Jo!

Katie's birthday was on Wednesday and she celebrated by smacking the ball around the turf, leading her team to a come from behind victory to win 17-9. Katie's line drive home run ran all the way to the fence as she hustled around the bases. The HR turned the tide on a Geoducks team that had put up 7 runs in the 3rd inning earlier to grab the lead.

The Tasty Gloves
Tristan came up huge in the bottom of the 7th inning! He came to the plate with the score tied at 10 and the bases loaded. He calmly knocked a single right back up the middle to bring home the winning run in dramatic fashion and complete a comeback in which the Tasty Gloves trailed at one point 9 to 0.

Golden Glove winner in the making!! John L' Heureux of Indy #1 (you guys REALLY need to come up w/a name....seriously something bad A$$;) is an unbelievable shortstop. He was making play after play. After a few more games, John and his second baseman are going to be turning double plays like their records (the chemistry is in the works)! Also, it should be noted that he played back to back games in which he totalled 20 assisted outs and 15 unassisted;) Great job out there, John!!

Chad, plan and simple, hit the CRAP out of the ball on Wednesday. One homerun and 2 triples. He was just "too good" for those wrinky dink singles and doubles. He chose to go BIG, hitting each ball to DEEP outfield. After his 3rd at bat, outfielders were showing much RESPECT in fear of balls flying way over their heads. Great hitting, Chad!!

Played Like a Unit
This weeks honors go to the team Sea Mar. Sea Mar played solid defense only giving up 11 runs to a good hitting opponent. Everyone did their part to get the lead in the first inning, and kept the lead all 7 innings. The defense did a great job, and had 3 scoreless innings the their victory. They also did a great job of producing runs, and won the game 16 to 11. Great job Sea Mar!
Chad helped Find The Holes to victory by displaying power to all fields tonight as he launched one homer down the right field line and another to deep left center, as he totaled up 4RBI's. He was also there contributing on the defensive side making many fine plays.

Fly Bawlerz - Indy #1
Don't Mess w/the BOMAR!! Great fielding and Outstanding hitting earned this Fly Bawler POTW! Amanda went 3 for 4, which some clutch hits....one hit was was w/2 strikes and the other w/2 outs and runners on. She definitely had the touch Wednesday night! Awesome job, second baseman, BOMAR!!

Still Better Than Twilight
Nick had a great game as Still Better Than Twilight led this one from start to finish. Nick was 4-5 at the plate with a couple of doubles, while driving in 3 runs. He also scored 3 runs and contributed a couple of dazzling plays in the field. Great job Nick and Still Better Than Twilight on the win and keep it rolling as we get closer to playoffs!

Fly Bawlerz - Indy #1
Who has two thumbs and LOVES the left field line??.....Blake Harps! Mr. Harps was hard to shut down at the plate. Along w/sending out some bombs that were jaw dropping, he managed to get some KEY RBIs in the first half of their game against Find the Holes, which are becoming the team to beat. Blake also went 3 for 4 w/a sweet speed (not the drug) induced triple. Hell of a job out there, Blake!

Still Better Than Twilight
On the final evening of the regular season Karyn was forced to take the mound as Still Better Than Twilight was missing their regular starting pitcher. It was her first appearance in 8 years and she pitched incredibly well holding Seamar to 10 runs as she went the distance. Not only did she pitch great, but did some damage at the plate. She went 3-4 with 2RBI's as Still Better Than Twilight took home the victory.
Playoff night at Bobby Morris Field turned out a couple well played and hard fought games. Jeremy Mitchell came in ready to play tonight as he contributed a 2 run triple and a 3 run HR. He was the big bat in the middle of Find The Holes lineup as they went on to win 10 to 7 over Seamar.
