Hold My Beer had only one game on Wednesday for the title in softcore, and took advantage, winning 24-11.
In the semi-final just before, One hit Wonder had taken on The Team Formerly Known as Indy #S16 in an offensive slugfest that was limited to 6 innings due to time. When the 6th and final inning began, the score was 20-17, and that was how it ended after a quick 3 up, 3 down for the Wonder.
That set the stage for the final, which Hold My Beer quickly seized control of and never looked back. Sara Wandler, player of the game, had an amazing home run past the outfield, knocking in a couple critical runs when the game was still tight. A scary moment late in the game, an injury to a Wonder outfielder, changed the mood of the night, but the game was played out to a Hold My Beer victory and celebration.
