Winter Softcore Kickball in Ballard Saturdays

With Ball Related playing a double header and the weather being less then ideal and a lot of their players hurt they needed some players to step up and Grant and Steve did just that. Steve (playing with a busted up ankle) played through pain and was a defensive genius. Catching everything in the air. I'm thinking it was so cold he didn't feel his ankle anymore. Another bright spot for the team was Grant. Grant played lights out. With his speed, pinpoint kicking and defensive catching skillz he wasn't gonna let Ball Related lose. Great game to everyone. It was fun.

Sean played a excellent game, pitching a great game with great defense and pinpoint kicks but Alyssa stood out from them all. Alyssa played 1st base and caught everything that was thrown to her. On one play the ball was thrown wildly, she gaiined control of the ball with her foot, popped it up and almost gunned out a guy running to first. Not only did she have awesome defense but her bunting was top notch. Bunts so precise that the ball literally stopped in front of the plate and with her speed there was no way Grant (catcher from Ball Related) was going to get her out. Congrats on a great ALL around game Alyssa, Bigfoot with Alyssa leading them off...

There is no question the Player Of The Week goes to Sean of Bigfoot this week.. On a cold night where it seemed like the game would never end, Sean did everything to make sure the Turkey Snazzlers wouldn't pull off a upset.. With the game going back and forth through most of the hour, Sean came up to kick with 2 runners on and kicked a ball to dead center field. With the ball sailing over the center fields head Sean was already half way between 1st and 2nd. There was no doubt it was a homerun. With that homerun he put his team up by 4, a little more breathing room when he came up to kick again with almost the same situation he kicked the ball in almost the same spot but with the same end resluts. Another homerun to put the game out of reach. With some solid defense in the final innings, Sean and Bigfoot held off for the win. Great game Sean, you really kicked the crap out of the ball.
