Winter Big Turkey Bowling at Imperial Thursdays 7pm

Jen of the Balls deep empire who will now be known as the deputy captain was a fierce competitor on her team but even more vital to the teams overall spirit. "There were some highs and lows" to the game tonight and when asked about her personal performance she claimed to have "peaked too early" but isn't too worried about that since she "hears this is a common problem" and it is the 1st week so her "endurance will get better." best of luck in the rest of the season!

Rewind back to last week....I was reminding the teams that the next theme night was
"I wear my Sunglasses at Night". Lian was very disappointed to find out that we weren't going to be able to play the song over the PA system. I then told her that she could probably sing it for everyone. I even mentioned that they have a microphone and we could probably figure out a way to make it work....not thinking she really would!!!

Last night, she shows up and finds me... "I am ready to sing tonight" she says! She and her teammate Jenn had found the lyrics online and had been practicing all week! I told her that I would rather have a private concert, since there were other bowlers at the other end, who needed to concentrate.

About an hour in, I found them, sat down and told them I was ready... they were so excited, and had no shame at all! Halfway through the song, a player from the next lane over joined in, as well.

What a fun group, way to be so SPIRITED!!!

Take note of the fact that tonight was not a structured theme night.....that didn't stop Tatiana and "I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter" from making up their own theme! SUPER HEROES....but not your ordinary Batman, Superman, etc. No, they were "Thor", "Moonbeam", "Baby G", "Solar Flare", "Superstar" and "Darth" complete with capes and all!

When I asked Tatiana who their seamstress was, I learned that they had special ordered the capes just for this occasion.

I am awarding Tatiana "Player of the Week" not only for her efforts in acquiring the teams' rad costumes, but for having SO MUCH spirit and truly enjoying herself every week. On multiple occasions, Tatiana has been so spirited and pumping up her team, that she doesn't even realize when she has earned a prize coupon. Way to go, Tatiana, way to lead the team!
