WOW! That word is, effectively, the only way to describe Leah Johnston's big moment. Leah of Balls In! exhibited tremendous athleticism when she blocked a powerful hitter from the opposing team. While she may not be the tallest player for blocking, she successfully stuffed a power hitter, seemingly defying the laws of physics in the process. The block was strong enough to drop the jaws of all witnesses to the scene. For stunning everyone with her fearless block, Leah is our player of the week. Congratulations!

The BLockheads found their stride in games 2 and 3 and took the match in an impressive fashion! Julie's efforts could not go unnoticed as she was a force of energy and technique on the court. Number one way to describe her play - scrappy. Covering a lot of ground to pick up tips over the block, clutch serves to keep momentum, wrangling in stray passes - Julie did it all!
Its clear that the BLockheads have great chemistry and Julie's smile and enthusiasm only added to the mix.

Max played amazingly!! He was always upbeat and I never heard a harsh word or saw a frown on his face! He had some amazing passes to make the game great! Max was the most sportsmanlike player I have seen in a while! He kept the game energetic and just came to play and have fun! Can't wait to see him again!

It's a sight to behold when a player wholeheartedly commits himself to the game and his teammates. Such was the case with David from Ballz Deep, who ignited the court with ferocious attacks at the net, smart tips in just the right places, dominating blocks, and a contagious smile. David played passionately the whole night, inspiring his teammates to an impressive victory. His fiery skills and positive attitude makes him our player of the week. Congrats David!

Back That Ace Up killed it this week at First Baptist. They only had 4 players on the court but still stole the show and won all three sets against a full team! When you're scheduled for the 9:30pm game, it's not always easy to feel energized. Knowing that your team had to forfeit the final game of the season is like a multiplier of funk. What I loved about no Diggity was how they showed up to play, even though they knew they had to forfeit.

Did they just no-call, no-show and leave the other team stranded? NO!
Did they have sour faces and terrible 'tudes? NO!
Did one of their players fly in internationally and not sleep for 37+hours? YES!

Props to No Diggity (#7 seed) for playing all out against the #2 seed and walking away with 1 win.

Tracy had some mad swings this week! She played two full games this week with her team and her powerful kills just wouldn't stop coming! Her team BLockheads won the championship title of this season and she got the winning point of the final match with a fiery kill!
