Bayside Tigers, Kick Tease, The Pegglers, You Look Like I Need a Drink
POTW: Michael Welsh
Denim Venom - Indy #1
Michael, using the power of the embroidered Denim jacket, covered some serious ground on defense from centerfield.
At least twice there were monsterous kicks that no one thought he could pull down. But the thread kicked in, and he was able to kill the rallies.
Welcome to kickball Michael!

POTW: Rachel Villiott
You Look Like I Need a Drink
Rachel is "You Look Like I Need a Drink's" captain and a great player, but she represtents much more than that. She demonstrated and advocated spirited sportsmanship. On many occasions, Rachel cheered on the tough and determined Pegglers and offered positive support. No matter what the play was, she could always put a smile on a player's face. Thank you Rachel for your wonderful sportsmanship!

POTW: Rob Davis
Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters
The Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters were in a deep fight throughout the night and needed someone to seal the game defensively. In walked Rob Davis. Recruited out of Australia, Rob displayed his athletic skills with precision. In the last inning, Rob caught two important outs to end the game. Well Done!

POTW: Kevin Haywood
Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters
Player of the Day goes to Kevin Haywood from team Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters. Kevin had a Felix Hernandez type day rolling a two hitter into the 6th inning. Bayside Tigers finally found a groove scoring runs in the final two innings, but couldn't overcome Kevin's dominating pitching and defense. The only difference between the Kevin's performance and Felix Hernandez's performance is a "W" in the win column for the Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters. Congrats Kevin and great job!
In what turned out to be a sloppy slugfest in the mud it was Kingway Yeh defense behind the plate that kept Third Base at bay. Unlike the Mariners catchers, Kingway turned out a spectacular performance behind the plate covering bunts and turning them into outs. His defense was not the only asset, he was able to get on multiple times including twice in the fifth inning that helped spark an eight run inning to secure the come from behind win.

POTW: Matt Etter
Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters
Matt "AKA Dirtface" Etter helped ignite the Moose-Knuckle offense with a grand slam. The homerun was highlighted by Matt's ability to slide into home plate avoiding the ball but the dirt in his face. His play in the field was just as impressive as his defense at first turned mutiple outs including a double play in the top of fifth.
The POTW this week is Robb Landis of Third Base is Overrated. Robb played fantastic defense at shortstop, making multiple catches. One teammate exclaimed that he was "like the Great Wall of China out there."

POTW: Hanna Hilts
Denim Venom - Indy #1
Changing field locations didn't affect Denim Venom's game plan and it didn't affect Hanna Hilts defensive skills. After a massive boot to second base from a Bayside Tigers player, Hannah snatched the ball and ended their two-out rally. Way to go Hannah Pants!

POTW: Stephen Medawar
Cobra Kai
Stephen earns this weeks player of the week for all around performance. He stood out among the others for his excellent defense in the game and made lots of catches and always held the runners on their base. When they did challenge his arm, he was able to gun them down, even with a nifty spin move that he showed on one out at second! Great job Stephan
You Look Like I Need a Drink forfeited to Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters.
POTW: Tobias Kammer
Cobra Kai
Toby came through in the clutch for Cobra Kai in their Semi-Final game. In the bottom of the 8th inning Toby kicked a triple and then scored on the next at bat. Great game.
