Player of the week for Kickball at Lower Woodlands goes to Matt of the Kicking Assets (just so you know Matt Rowe was selected but you have 2 matts, so a hundred apologies if I got the wrong Matt). It was Matt's first time back in the kickball big leagues since he underwent Tommy John surgery pitching for the pee wee kickball slammers when he was 9 years old. A little rusty at first, but when the time was right, he stepped up to the plate and blasted a 3 run homer over the outfielders heads. Those runs helped them beat their rough and tough opponents, the Balls and Dolls 13 to 8. In an interview after the game, he told us that, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I can't really take credit. the glory really goes to my teammates". Beautifully said, Matt. And great job out there!!!
