First Place

Summer Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Sundays

The Cheese Heads fought hard through two close games to earn the Softcore championship this season. In their semifinal game the Cheese Heads knocked off the #1 seeded Practice All-Americans in double overtime, winning on a 1 point conversion that was run in. Then, in the finals, they faced the Crazy Maniacs, who weren't content to go down easy either. But behind the leadership of quarterback Brian Sweeney, who had 5 touchdown passes, the Cheese Heads were able to come out on top 41-34 and head into the off-season with a brand new set of champs shirts. Good job Cheese Heads!

POTW: Brian Sweeney

Cheese Heads

It was championship week this week in the co-ed flag football league at Memorial Stadium on Sundays, and the player of the week is Brian Sweeney of the Softcore Champion Cheese Heads. Brian was nominated as player of the game for both the semifinal and final game by his teammates, and had 5 touchdown passes in each game. In addition, he showed tremendous hustle and heart in the semifinal game which went into double overtime. He won the game for his team by running in a 1 point conversion after Practice All-Americans had already scored, and then helped them earn the title right afterwards. Great job Brian!
