Notes

First Place

Summer Softcore Kickball on Eastlake M/W

Pitch, Please won their first championship on Monday, but they needed to avenge two regular season losses to do it.

After moving past Drunk and Looking to Score in a 10-6 battle that was closer than the score suggests, they needed redemption for an earlier 3-5 loss against Where My Pitches At where they lost not only the game, but their team name as well. This time would be different though as their defense held WMPA to only 1 run over seven innings.

They had a steeper hill to climb in the championship game as they had lost to the Manhandlers by 8 runs earlier. After going back and forth with the score through 4 innings, they put up a big 5 run inning in the 5th to put the distance needed between them and win the championship.

Josh S.

Pitch, Please

Josh's pitching kept two teams at bay on Wednesday. After giving up 6 runs in the first game against Drunk and Looking to Score, he turned up the dial a little. His pitching was integral in keeping Where My Pitches At? to only 1 run over 7 innings.

Wednesday, June 11

Nick Funaro

Katie and Friends

Nick F. is this weeks POTW for his excellent defense pitching in a 4 to 5 victory. Nick served up pitches on the uneven terrain, and racked up outs making multiple outs for his squad. Nick got a total workout with the constant movement in the middle of the field making plays left and right. Nick's footwork was exceptional and many of the onlookers took notice to his phenomenal skills. Great job Nick.
