The mid-core championship was settled Sunday night at Lower Woodland Play-field. The game was tight until the bottom of the 6th inning when Tim K. hit a 3-run HR to boost his teams led.
Team Rich and Jay's Love Children threatened to score runs in several innings, but could not get the key hit to push a runner across home plate. The final score was 6-0.
Both teams had great defensive plays from their outfield, as well as their SS and 2B positions.
Even though the competition was high, both team showed excellence sportsmanship and are great ambassador for Underdog co-ed softball.
Best of luck to all teams next season, and once again congratulations to The Adversity Overcomers!
Tim K. hit a 3-run HR in the 6th inning to put the game out of reach, and the Overcomers were crowned champions. Tim also played a great outfield.
