Killer Instincts playoff run consisted some tough matches that resulted in three wins by one goal. Their run consisted of total team effort on defense and scoring a late goal in both of the semifinals and championship game. People always say it was a total team effort when they win this was no more apparent then the Killer Instincts playoff run to the championship. All the players contributed from Jason providing excellent defense to the captain Amanda putting the team together to Julio's unselfish play to Alec's game tying goal in the championship game to Jeff's phenomenal goal keeping. Congrats on the championship Killer Instincts, you deserve it.
Jeff Cook has already won player of the week honors this season, but technically he could win it every week the way he plays in goal. After pitching a shutout in their first playoff win, Jeff came back to hold their opponents to three goals total in the semifinals and championship. Despite his team's great defense, Jeff had to make a multitude of saves that kept Killer Instincts in the game. Jeff Cook nice goalkeeping for the season.
There was no more deserving player than Jeff Cook for Player of the Week Honors. With the performance he turned in tonight I would even nominate him for Futsaler of the Year that was how dominating Jeff was in goal. In his second game of the night Jeff was turning away shot after shot trying to do his best Kasey Keller impersonation in goal. The only goal allowed in that game was a questionable one by the referee. If Jeff continues to have perfomances like tonight, the rest of the teams better watch out for him and the rest of the Killer Instincts.
