As The Striking Powers waited for their contender for the Championship, it became increasingly clear that Team Sven and Multiple Scorgasms were going down to the wire. As the final pin fell and the scores were tallied, everyone was surprised to see matching 589 scores. A tie!
What now? I'm glad you asked. A one roll shootout to go to the finals. Team Sven won the coin toss and elected to avoid the pressure and roll first. It paid off and they rolled an 8 to beat out a 7 from Multiple Scorgasms.
On to the finals against the powerhouse that cruised through the regular season and playoffs. However, this was Team Sven's night. They held off a late charge from The Striking Powers and with balanced scoring, they came out on top.
It must have been the Underdog headbands that put them over the top. Congratulations!
Starting off slowly, Team Sven searched for answers on Monday night. A debate and discussion ensued and it was determined that John needed to eat a grilled cheese sandwich.
Good thing for Team Sven that John isn't lactose intolerant, in fact, he may very well be lactose dependent because after he ate the sandwich he turned it on.
Before the grilled cheese, 1 spare and 4 open frames with 3 gutter balls. After the grilled cheese, 4 strikes, a spare, and only one open frame. This included a Big Turkey.
With the late surge, John's full belly propelled Team Sven to victory.
