It has been an up and down season for Flatfooted. They have had their share of big wins and tough losses. But as it turns out, all of it was simply a prelude to a championship. Led by Francis C, Flatfooted were able to jump out to an early lead against Odd Balls, and then hold on late for the to clinch the League Championship. Francis was the main culprit, catching two touchdowns, and a one point conversion that put the game out of reach late. While the season definitely tested the character of Flatfooted, they surely proved that they passed that test with flying colors by capturing their first championship. Congratulations to the winners!
In one of the most thrilling games of the season, Tim Frame stepped up to make the difference in a narrow 21-20 victory for Flatfooted over Ballbarians. Down 20-14, Frame caught the game tying touchdown, leading to the winning score. On top of that, he also caught a two pointer earlier and another touchdown. Tim owned the night for Flatfooted and surely earned the title Player of the Week!
Through three out of four halves of play in Flatfooted's double-header, it appeared as though there was no wind in the sails of this crew. After a tough defeat in their opening game, Flatfooted trailed 18-6 to the Salamanders at halftime of their second game. But that's when Daniel Flores stepped in and breathed some life into his squad by intercepting three passes in the second half, leading the way to a 32-18 victory. Congratulations to Barack-Obama-Look-Alike, Dan Flores, and the rest of Flatfooted!
