When a game is still in doubt in the final moments, some players shy away from the pressure and some rise up to the challenge. Anita Marrero is one of those players who isn't afraid to put the game in her hands. She proved it on Monday night, catching the game winning pass for the Salamanders, in a thrilling 20-19 victory over Flatfooted. Anita's toughness and tenacity were evident as she brought the ball into her arms, lifting her team to victory. Congratulations to Anita and to the Salamanders!
The Salamanders didn't need much offense on Monday as their defense held up their end of the bargain. Rosie came out looking ready for training camp in August though. She weaved through the Ballbarians defense to come up with a big TD to take a lead the Salamanders wouldn't relinquish.
