This game came down to the wire, and Necessary Roughness proved they had what it takes to get over the top and claim the championship. Falling down early, the team never panic'd and stay true to their game plan. Play sound defense, score and convert PAT's. As they chipped away at their deficit and eventually taking a two possession lead, they solidified themselves as true champions. Just like the field at exactly 10pm, they were lights out!
Chris G carried his team into the championship game by throwing a whopping 6 TD's, which is why he is this week's Player of the Game. Chris could do no wrong on this glorious Tuesday evening, finding small windows to get the ball into at will. I'm pretty sure he closed his eyes for 2 of the 6 TD's, they were just that easy. Good luck in the championship game next week!
In a closely contested defensive battle, reminiscent of the Seahawks v Niners game a few weeks back, Jeff came out of the game as the clear winner. In the first half Jeff brought down two interceptions, one on a throw over the middle and a second after a great defensive tip from his teammate. But at halftime the score was still only 8-6. In the second half it took all the way down till four minutes remaining before Jeff brought down a long ball along the sideline to score giving a 14-6 advantage, but after a failed XP their opponents were driving until Jeff intercepted the ball on a short throw at the goal line to secure victory for his team. Congratulations on the win and way to play!
