It came down to the end in game number one on Thursday. Rachel needed either a strike or a spare to keep her team's hopes alive. She rolled a nine followed up by knocking down the single lonely pin. She then needed to knock down 5 pins for the 1st game victory. She came through by picking up a 7 for a 3 pin cushion.
867. Most teams here at Underdog will roll an 867 in two games if they're lucky, but 6 Balls 3 Holes tossed that up in one game. Led by Nawid's 196, they practically lapped Underdog veterans Pin Stalkers. But don't accuse them of being ringers.
"Ringers?" laughed Nawid. "We'll be lucky to get that in two games next week!" Well, we'll see. But for now, they have left an indelible mark on this young Big Turkey Bowling season.
