John "Juan" Hendrickson can put a friggin hurt on a kickball. He booted a 3 run bomb off the fence and that's no easy task. I think its safe to say that he's the Sebastian Janikowski of underdog. When asked why he kicks so damn hard, Juan said, "Ie's my yob". Congrats Juan and please be careful cause you could really hurt someone.
Brian Platt offered a little bit of everything at the Summer Softcore Kickball League in Ballard on Thursday night. Platt played catcher, first base, second base, outfield, and even pitched an inning in a Vitamin R victory. Teammate Tyler Bjarnson said the following of Platt's effort, "I'm just glad he got this honor. Brian really hustles out there, which he needs more than anyone. It's good to see him get recognized." Bjarnson agreed that Platt was key to Vitamin R's victory on Thursday.
The ENTIRE game, was sooo incredibly close. It came down to the final minutes at the bottom of the 7th when Matt got on base. And to break the tie, he ran for his life and slid home for the win! Awesome.
